[7:31 PM]BGConway: Hey everyone! My name is Brendan Conway. I’m the project lead for Fallen London: The Roleplaying Game, and I was the lead on Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game, Root: The Roleplaying Game, and Masks: A New Generation. I’m one of the owners of Magpie Games, where I’ve been working for about a decade. (https://www.magpiegames.com/) The Kickstarter for Fallen London: The Roleplaying Game is live right now! (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/magpiegames/fallen-london-the-roleplaying-game) It’s based on the Fallen London browser game by Failbetter Games, as well as their other games set in the same universe, including Sunless Sea, Sunless Skies, and Mask of the Rose. It’s a horror/odd-fantasy kind of setting, taking place in an alternate version of late 19th century London, now in the Neath (an astonishingly huge cavern) and full of things like squid people and devils. You come together with a group of obsessives to accomplish some enormous objective, like killing the sun or returning London to the surface! I’m looking forward to your questions!Magpie GamesMagpie GamesMagpie Games KickstarterFallen London: The Roleplaying Game

[7:32 PM]Richard @ R. Rook (He/Him): I founded R. Rook Studio in 2019 and have run it ever since. I’m also an ops wizard and production editor at Plus One EXP (https://plusoneexp.com/).
[7:33 PM]Richard @ R. Rook (He/Him): I started working on the game that became Silver Age in 2023 or so. It’s a game of werewolves as “street-level” heroes in small town in West Texas in 1991, using silver as intoxicant and mystical fuel as well as a toxin.
[7:33 PM]Richard @ R. Rook (He/Him): Looking forward to talking to y’all tonight.

[7:30 PM]feralerudite: Hey folks, we’re Austin Holm and Gabriel Watcher, here today to talk about Doom Desert in the Decanter of Delirium. This was the first adventure we ever made together, and now we’re kickstarting an expanded zine version! We’ve added new art and content to what was an already great adventure, so in a lot of ways, this is the product of four years of production. We’re really excited to talk about it with people today!
[7:01 PM]Slipstream: My name is Chris Dias of Dias Ex Machina games, publisher of Ultramodern5, Affinity, Amethyst, NeuroSpasta, and Apex. We are returning to Affinity with a series of new adventures and a second book as well as giving backers an opportunity to pick up the original 3-book slipcase or the clamshell boxed leather wrapped edition.
[7:01 PM]Slipstream: It’s launching Mid March.
@Mister Rulei followed – i can buy just one book right?[7:03 PM]Slipstream: Originally you could back in 2019 cammpaign, but for this 2025 campaign, we weren’t planning on it as we feel the set works together. There is a narrative that follows all three settings, common points and themes.
[7:32 PM]Cole_Wilkinson(Prysm): Hi Everyone! I am Cole Wilkinson, the one man show behind Piranha Squirrel Productions. I am dyslexic and will be trying to type quickly so please forgive any spelling/grammar mistakes. I started playing TTRPGs when a friend asked if I wanted to play D&D. I said yes. I often want to make (or try to make) the things I enjoy. TTRPGs were no different and I started to fiddle with the idea of making my own. In 2020, I began making my game in earnest. I ran two full year campaigns and now I am seeking to share that system with the world. The system is called Along the Leyline. Along the Leyline is an elegant combat fantasy TTRPG. It has classless leveling, rules that encourage creative problem solving, and step dice stats for quick resolution. It is currently on Kickstarter. Player’s Tome, Player’s Expansion, Referee’s Toolkit, Bestiary, Swordport (a mystery adventure about weresharks), and the Secret Grimoire. I am excited to chat with you today. If you have questions about mechanics, my creative process, or really anything TTRPG related. I know you all generally like to look at the character sheets so I will post one here. I have a few other images prepped (a couple monster stats, and sneak peeks). Done.
[1:02 PM]Jeremy | Gnomebot Studios: Hello everybody! My name is Jeremy Peet and I’m the one man show behind Gnomebot Studios and the creator of GRIT Fantasy RPG, which I released in July of 2024. I’m a writer, designer, and illustrator and had been producing VTT tokens for sale on DriveThruRPG prior to releasing GRIT Fantasy RPG. At this point I am a very small publisher but I am working on expanding that. I appreciate the opportunity to talk with you about GRIT Fantasy RPG today! My introduction to TTRPG games started in the early 80’s with the D&D Red Box. The bulk of my early years of gaming involved AD&D 1e but I moved into other systems over the course of several decades. There was about a ten year gap where I was completely focussed on board games, which included finishing a handful of small PnP board game designs. I have been a GM more than a player but I do enjoy both. I am also a big fan of ICRPG published by Runehammer Games and have played countless hours of it in its various settings. I openly admit that I’m a lifetime TTRPG gamer. GRIT Fantasy RPG took me nearly eight years to develop, though the last three years were the most intense. It was an immense project since I took on all aspects of the production. I want to give a big shout out to my good friend Ryan James who had the immense job of editing and organization of GRIT, he did an outstanding job of it! I also want to thank the many play testers and folks on the GRIT Discord server who have been so supportive of my efforts.
[1:03 PM]Jeremy | Gnomebot Studios: Here is brief rundown of GRIT Fantasy RPG: It is a rules-light system that shines for one-shots, short arcs, or episode-based games. It is designed for speed when creating characters, prepping, and gameplay. A serious amount of effort was put into the design to make life easy for the GM because I believe a happy, stress-free GM means happy players. The basics:
D12 is used as the primary die.
There are 5 character stats and 12 Lineages.
Rolls are either made to beat a target number or opposed roll.
There are 3 Focus Dice (D4, D6, D8) that are used to boost rolls.
Combat consists of a series of rounds with a mix of actions and reactions. It’s very quick.
Damage is calculated by the difference between a roll and the TN or opposed roll.
Armor and shields simply reduce incoming damage by the amount of SOAK they have.
There is no spell system, magical artifacts with streamlined mechanics take the place of that.
There are 46 monsters and 20 D20 loot tables.

[1:16 PM]WatcherDM: @feralerudite you want to introduce yourself?
[1:19 PM]feralerudite: I’m Austin Holm. I do most of our writing at WatcherDM. Been TTRPGing for about 30 years now; we’re just rounding the corner into our fourth year of publishing. What can I say about myself? I play a lot of TTRPGs, probably more skews than are reasonable. I’m Canadian. I aim for a cozy kind of crazy. I’m excited to talk Seven Sealed Spirits! I think this might be our best work yet. (done)
[7:28 PM]Gamer’s Rites LLC: Hello! I’m Denver Cheney, running the one-man shop Gamer’s Rites LLC. While the business became official a year ago, I’ve been publishing rpgs for almost six years now. I’ve got maps, supplements, and full systems in my catalog. Fantasy Online is my 30th (give or take) product, and certainly my largest ever project. I’m excited to talk about it here today! Shoutout to my awesome playtesters who have been subjected to years of experimentation! I know at least one, @MakaiFrost 0001, is here today. Personally, I’ve been Dungeon Mastering for 15+ years now, playing for a little longer than that. I got started with DnD 3.5 and that system will always be special to me, though I found it too complex to run with the responsibilities of family life. I’ve played/run/both 5e, various OSR games, Shadowrun, Fate, M&M 3e and some other one-shot or obscure systems (in addition to my own). You may recognize me from the last Q&A I did here. That was for Modulus: Shadow Edition. I was running a kickstarter for that, and it came nowhere near to funding. I eventually published the system anyway, but not with as much content as I was hoping. So, I decided to do things a little differently for Fantasy Online. Maybe I could have gotten away with a kickstarter for visibility, but my following is pretty small right now. Since I know a bunch of the people here are designers themselves, I’m going to be fully transparent with the numbers and my design process. Most of my customers enjoy my free products, and many more only buy what I discount. Given all that, I launched early instead of crowdfunding. More revenue in it that way, as well as more visibility in my case. –Publishing: 5+ years –Unique Customers: 3200+ –Email Subscribers: 1233 –Total Revenue from Publishing: <$1,000 –Most Popular Product: Shadowflyght, The Stealth Supplement for Any RPG With that out of the way, let’s get started!

[7:32 PM]Op (WildFire Community Manager): Hello! I am Op Flarsheim, short for Other Philip. I am the Community Manager for WildFire, in addition to being on the editing and creative teams. (I like wearing hats it seems). I officially joined WildFire in late 2018, but had been friends with Matt for at least 5 years before that.(edited)
[7:33 PM]Matt Raven (WildFire): I’m Matthew Grau, the creator of CthulhuTech. I’ve done a bunch of stuff, but the one that you’ll probably know is League of Legends. I’ve been doing CthulhuTech for a couple decades now and I am super pumped for this new reboot!
