[20:02] <+Mickey> Ok…. I”m Mickey Barfield. Creator with The Polyhedral Knights. The game we are discussing is Dark Times
[20:03] <+Mickey> It JUST launched on Kickstarter
[20:03] <+Mickey> Too general?
[20:03] <+Mickey> lol
[20:03] <~Dan> Maybe a bit. 🙂
[20:04] <+Mickey> ok….let me try this better
[20:05] <+Mickey> Dark Times is set in a slight distant future where corporations have become more the true power. One corporation discovered how to create superpowers. When they did it opened up a race with other corporations to do industrial espionage
[20:05] <+Mickey> Corporations see the supers as company property
[20:05] <+Mickey> The supers many didn’t like being a slave
[20:05] <+Mickey> many rebelled and fled hiding in slums
[20:05] <+Mickey> Some remained behind to act as loyal subjects
[20:06] <+Mickey> Now there are a small group of corporations who have supers on their payroll
[20:06] <+Mickey> THose that fled have had to find ways to avoid capture by the corporations and at same time help out their fellow people
[20:07] <+Mickey> Worse yet was the mutants. The cast offs the corporations deemed as failures
[20:07] <+Mickey> they are seen legally as non human and treat much like pest. Extermination is allowed
[20:07] <+Mickey> So the mutant ones hide in the sewers or other areas people tend to avoid
[20:08] <+Mickey> The game is open for a wide variety of play. If you work for the corporation ? or do you work to find food and shelter for you and your kin?
[20:09] <+Mickey> Some have even come to corporations as SME (Subject Matter Experts) a modern day type of privateer. “If we mess with your competion will you give us shelter and aid?” Some corporations have aggreed to this.
