[25-Nov-20 07:33 PM] Geoffquest#1434 Hey, everyone. My name is Geoff Bottone. I’m a writer, a LARPer, a game designer, and a middle-aged nerd! I used to work for SlugFest Games as their creative director from 2002-2010, and now I’m breaking out on my own after a longish hiatus. Dan invited me to the Randomworlds Discord to discuss my Star Trek-themed game, Boldly Go!, whose Kickstarter is currently live right now.
[7:31 PM] morganlean: Hi I am Morgan Lean, writer and game designer for Epiphany Entertainment.
[7:31 PM] morganlean: Matty C is also a game designer and writer and we both worked on Age of Armageddon.
[7:32 PM] morganlean: I have made many games, both Pen and Paper and Computer Games.
[7:32 PM] morganlean: Age of Armageddon is our latest game.
[7:34 PM] morganlean: Age of Armageddon is set on an alternate earth from 2050 to 2100, where the human race has suffered a cataclysm on all fronts. Gods from the Void beyond worlds have destroyed many of the cities leaving humanity scrambling on the brink of extinction.
[7:35 PM] morganlean: This is the final chapter in our Faeries Wear Boots! game, which covers many eras of the earth from very ancient times to the end of the world.
<AWroeSectionD> Hi everybody. So I’m Allan Wroe, the creator of The Secret Files of Section D. I’ve a roleplayer for about 35 years and have always written my own adventures and settings. I’m now working on getting my first work published after 12 years in the print sector and 20 years in IT recruitment
<AWroeSectionD> The Secret Files of Section D is a tongue in cheek spy / pulp setting for Savage Worlds. It’s historically accurate, set in 1938, but the adventures are a little off the wall.
<AWroeSectionD> Section D was a real unit of the British Secret Intelligence Service and ultimately became a part of the Special Operations Executive.
8:31 PM +Owen: Hi! My name is Owen Martin, and I’m here with my brother Adam Martin, and our writing partner Doug. We’re the creators of the Savage Company Campaign Setting for Pathfinder and soon to be 5e.
8:31 PM +Owen: Savage Company is a genre blend military fantasy setting, placing guns and military style gear and equipment alongside the more traditional dungeons, dragons, swords, and sorcery.
8:31 PM +Owen: We have 8 published books so far, 4 of those are free to download. All of the books are evenly mixed with short stories and art along with rules and game content to provide a high entertainment value for readers apart from just using them as game rulebooks.
8:31 PM +Owen: We have one more free book launching this year, and we’re ramping up for a Kickstarter campaign in 2021 for our next huge book that will include stand-alone wargame rules and miniatures.
7:31 PM +maxcan7: Hi, I’m Max Cantor. My game is Maximum Recursion Depth, or Sometimes the Only Way to Win is to Stop Playing: The Karmapunk RPG. I think the long pretentiousness of that title speaks for itself
[2:10:30 PM] <Stoo> My name is Stoo Goff, I’m the designer behind the Aegean RPG and the published behind WILD. WILD is my second RPG related kickstarter, the first being the Gaslight Club for zinequest last Feb. WILD is also my first time publishing a game that I haven’t written myself.
[2:10:49 PM] <DavidFChapman> Hi, I’m David F. Chapman. I’m probably best known as the designer and lead writer of Cubicle 7’s Doctor Who Roleplaying Game, and I’ve also worked on Conspiracy X 2.0, Buffy, Star Trek Adventures, and a host more. We’ve just launched a Kickstarter for WILD: Wake Initiate Lucid Dreaming (Training Dive Simulation) which is a tabletop game of
7:30 PM +Brian_Shutter: Hello! My name is Brian Shutter, I am 38 years old hailing from upstate NY. I wrote a game called Neon Lords of the Toxic Wasteland which is currently on Kickstarter!
7:31 PM +Brian_Shutter: Neon Lords of the Toxic Wasteland is a Ultra-Violent, and style matters tabletop RPG, that builds off of the “BX” rules. Half Medieval Fantasy half Sci-Fi, neon lords of the toxic wasteland is a no-holds-barred to the max game! Oozing 80’s and 90’s nostalgia the game features items from Ninja Stars to Fanny packs in addition to many references
[2:12:57 PM] <Paul_Baldowski> I’m Paul. I’m the writer and creator of The Cthulhu Hack, and a freelance writer for Symbaroum, Night’s Black Agents, PARANOIA, Trophy, Maelstrom and others.
[2:13:43 PM] <Paul_Baldowski> I’ve been a gamer since the early 80s, but didn’t get into published writing until the early 00s.
[2:15:31 PM] <Paul_Baldowski> The Cthulhu Hack built off the mechanics of The Black Hack. The Dee Sanction, my newest creation, is a spin off from one part of The Cthulhu Hack. You’re traitors in Elizabethan England sentenced to death for dabbling in magic. Now you have another chance, a propsect for a pardon, if you fight for the realm against the rising tide of supernatural
[2:15:32 PM] <Paul_Baldowski> enemies.
[2:15:52 PM] <Paul_Baldowski> It’s on Kickstarter right now and almost 600% funded.
