[09:06] <+Aviv> Hi everyone! I’m Aviv, a freelance illustrator working mainly on tabletop games. I’m in charge of the art side of Up to Four Players, a webcomic about tabletop games and the gamers who game them.
[09:06] <+Aviv> Eran is in charge of the game-design/writing side of it, I’ll let him properly introduce himself.
[09:06] <+Eran> Hello! I’m Eran, and I’ve been playing and GM-ing since I was about 12, in good ole’ Israel. I’m 38 now, and living in London, and for the past 15 years or so I’ve also been working in RPGs, doing translations, reviews, then editing, then designing. Throughout all this time I got the pleasure of having Aviv as a player and as a creative partner, in various,
[09:06] <+Eran> mostly comics, endeavours.
[09:09] <+Aviv> Our current big project is *Crystal Heart*. It started in our webcomic, as a setting our protagonists are playing around their game table.
[09:09] <+Aviv> They seemed to be having a lot of fun with it, and we thought hey, why not everyone? So we’re now making it into an actual setting for Savage Worlds.
[09:10] <+Aviv> (Now on Kickstarter! (Link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1036008825/crystal-heart-a-colourful-setting-for-savage-world)https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1036008825/crystal-heart-a-colourful-setting-for-savage-world )
[19:32] <+RayM> My name is Ray Machuga, and I’m your friendly neighborhood game designer. Well, only you neighborhood if you live in Texas. The game is Modern, and it’s a fantastic gritty urban fantasy tabletop roleplaying game set in modern Earth, if magic and monsters existed. The book I’m here to talk about is the Book of Elves, but feel free to ask about Modern in
[19:33] <+Motulev> you hit character limit there, cut off after “Modern in”
[19:33] <+RayM> general if you like, or any of my other games. Book of Elves is the first setting guide and supplement for Modern. It’s about Elves!
[19:34] <+RayM> Thanks Motulev! I was following up. 🙂
[19:36] <+RayM> Book of Elves has a Kickstarter running until about noon tomorrow, Central time. It’s currently inching in on its first stretch goal and I’ve got a surprise for folks if we hit it. Something I think folks will enjoy. The book itself really delves into Elfen culture, history and cosmology.
[19:32] <+Martin> Hi everyone. I’m Martin Heins, the creator of Techs-Arcana. Thanks to Dan and everyone in attendance for this opportunity to share our game with you this evening.
[19:33] <+Martin> I should also mention Brady Boyd, who has been the primary driving force in the play-testing, editing and marketing efforts for the game.
[19:33] <+Martin> Techs-Arcana is a traditional table-top RPG that focuses on the detailed nuts and bolts of Melee, Missile, and Magical combat.
[19:33] <+Martin> The game is available for free downloads in PDF file format. The Core Rules, Supplement files, and Game Master materials are available at (Link: https://Techs-Arcana.com)https://Techs-Arcana.com
[19:31] <+Nicolas> Well, hello everyone, my name is Nicolas Nayaert, a.k.a. Blaede and I am 41 yo software developer from Belgium.
[19:32] <+Nicolas> Our game is a RPG Realm Management system that allows you to Embody a powerful ruler in a new fantasy setting.
[19:32] <+Nicolas> The system is independent from traditional RPG systems for character creation and adventuring.
[19:33] <+Nicolas> So basically, you create and level up your character with the RPG system you like (DnD, Pathfinder…) and when you want to rule your realm, you switch to our management system.
[19:30] <+Keenan> I’m Keenan Wallace Dunham, and I’m the creator of the Necrotopia RPG Universe which has its first book on Kickstarter now.
[19:30] <+Keenan> Necrotopia is an Apocalyptic RPG where you and your friends battle through multiple Apocalypses. Faced with invasion of evil forces through portals, travel across worlds after you master use of portals. Original story and art with unique characters and settings. Uses a D6 game system with move creation that is simple and highly customizable. Create a characte
[19:30] <+Keenan> in 5 minutes and play a session within an hour. Fun for veteran RPG players and new players.
[19:31] <+Keenan> The game itself is meant to be a beginners pen and paper role-playing game that can appeal to anyone. It is simple and highly customizable. Here is a sample of the story from book one: “Necrotopia’s story begins with sparks of an invasion of demonic and inter-dimensional forces attacking Earth, initiating a battle for survival and conquest. There is a ba
[19:31] <+Keenan> ttle between Heaven and Hell brewing and you and your friends are caught in the middle. What happens depends on you with one person taking the role of Game Maestro and the rest taking the roles of role playing characters.” We hope you and your friends have a ton of fun with this game!
[19:42] <+ALicht> Awesome! My name is Andy Licht, for the past 7 years myself and a group of friends have been working to create the tabletop rgp Soulbound! Soulbound is game about wielding unique and powerful weapons to slay mythic beasts. It is set in an industrial age, impeded by giant fauna and corrupted demigods.
[19:44] <+ALicht> Each player is gifted a soulbound weapon, or bond, during character creation. This weapon levels up with and grows alongside the player. As they progress the weapon will gain new arcane abilities while the players improves their equipment and skills.
[19:45] <+ALicht> The official Kickstarter for soulbound can be found here (Link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1174585082/soulbound-dark-industrial-fantasy)https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1174585082/soulbound-dark-industrial-fantasy
[19:46] <+ALicht> However, it appears we will likely NOT reach our goal. Because of this we intend to release for FREE within the next few months. The hardcover book will still available for purchase for those who are interested, and backers will receive a discount.
[19:35] <+Faolind> Hello everyone I’m Michael Lovell, a game designer since I was 5 years old. I’m here to talk about Divinity Card, a tabletop RPG set in a world where a being claiming to be God appeared in the sky, and, after scattering a million cards across the earth, said that whoever collected all of them would become God in their place
[19:36] <+Faolind> Its designed to allow PCs to lead NPC parties without much clutter, as well as to ask deep philosophical questions about the nature of humanity, religion, power, etc.
[19:33] <+RayM> Hello, folks! My name is Ray Machuga and I’m the owner and one-man show for Higher Grounds Publishing ( (Link: http://www.highergroundsgames.com)www.highergroundsgames.com ). The game we’re talking about today is succinctly named Modern. It is a gritty, story-driven Urban Fantasy game set on our very own Earth. The exception being, of course, that monsters and magic exist and have always existed.
[19:34] <+RayM> Modern has a d20 system at its core, but has some great twists to the system, especially for character generation, that help make things feel more realistic and give the players all the power!
[20:33] <+NahualRPG> Hello everyone, my name is Miguel Angel Espinoza (you can call me Mike) and I’m from Mexico. I’m working my first game called Nahual, the game is a Powered by the Apocalypse game about shapeshifting nahuales, that hunt angels for a living in Mexico. They kill these winged creatures that roam the cities and sell them as tacos, or other type of products.
[20:35] <+NahualRPG> In the game players play the roll of Nahuales, which have the gift to touch and kill angels, and they all run a Changarro (or business) together. Each playbook is defined by a totem animal, which is an allegory of the character’s personality, and it’s the animal they can transform into (once they advance enough in ower 😉 )
