[1:10 PM]Ember (Em):Â Hello! My name is Ember Winters, I am the sole owner, writer, designer, and editor of Spelltech Press. I recently launched a successful Kickstarter campaign for my first game, Arcana Moderna! Arcana Moderna is a modern fantasy TTRPG built on 5e, designed for settings where the worlds of magic and the post-industrial clash and intertwine. To quote my Kickstarter, “…where magic, monsters, and ancient secrets exist alongside smartphones, skyscrapers, and corporate shuffle…It’s D&D in the modern age: mages in the board rooms, mimics at the burger joint, ropers in the junkyard, aboleths at the waterpark, and dragons soaring over towering skyscrapers.” The Arcana Moderna: Quickfire Rules is a complete mechanical and flavor overhaul of the 5e SRD, complete with an overhauled class list of 11 classes and 22 subclasses, a new Origins system, new skill list, new travel rules, an alternate combat system, vehicle combat rules, new feats, new equipment, an updated creature list with new creatures and new kinds of dragons, and an overhauled spell list with over 100 revisions of SRD spells and 26 brand new spells. The rulebook is releasing in April 2026, alongside a companion adventure: Palana Moderna: Fatal Attraction https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/arcana-moderna/arcana-moderna?ref=user_menu Also, as a little treat, I’ve created an official Spotify playlist for the game, full of tunes and tracks that inspired me during the creation of this project. Feel free to take a listen during the Q&A! And thank you, Dan, for having me here today. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/5yZuKlRasXHafrdynLHTMJ?si=6214788358a24044KickstarterArcana Moderna – Modern Fantasy RoleplayingA Modern Fantasy Conversion for 5ehttps://open.spotify.com/embed/playlist/5yZuKlRasXHafrdynLHTMJ?utm_source=discord&utm_medium=desktop

: All right. My name is Morten. I’ve been playing and gamemastering TTRPGs for 35 years, starting with AD&D 2nd Edition. I enjoy Tolkien, but prefer pulp adventure (less elves and more tentacles, I guess!).

: Around the year 2000, when D&D 3E and the Open Gaming License was released, I put up the Hyborian Age d20 Campaign website (https://hyboria.xoth.net/), which became a much-visited resource for fantasy roleplaying in the world of Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian. My work was noticed by Bill Webb of Necromancer Games, and in 2004 they published my book “Ancient Kingdoms: Mesopotamia”, a regional sandbox adventure set in a mythic bronze age, featuring ghouls, sand-worms, and mighty ziggurats.

:Â After that, I started self-publishing swords and sorcery adventures for 3E and eventually 5E, set in the World of Xoth but usable with any old-school, low-magic setting. It began with “The Spider-God’s Bride and Other Tales of Sword and Sorcery”, a 200-page collection of ten adventures inspired by the stories of Robert E. Howard, Clark Ashton Smith, and other pulp writers. It was followed by several other adventure books; the whole catalog can be found on https://xoth.net/publishing/ and also on DriveThruRPG: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/publisher/15833/xoth-publishing and print-on-demand books on Lulu: https://www.lulu.com/spotlight/xothpublishing/DriveThruRPG – The Largest RPG Download Store!Your one-stop online shop for new and vintage RPG products from the top publishers, delivered fresh to your desktop in electronic format.LuluXoth.Net Publishing – Books and Publications Spotlight | Lulu

: Which brings us to today: The latest adventure, “Last Kings of Alantha”, was released in October 2025. It was written as an homage to Robert E. Howard’s short story “The Gods of Bal-Sagoth”. Like most of Howard’s best stories, this one has it all: swords, sorcery, intrigue, mystery, monsters, and themes of civilization versus barbarism. And the action is set on an island, making it self-contained. In other words, an excellent starting point for a sword and sorcery adventure module!

[7:30 PM]Dan (Hardboiled GMshoe): (Oh, and @FaintingGoatWrangler, can you remind me of your IRL name so that I can include you in the log credits? )

[7:32 PM]Mr.Henrick:Â Killer. My name is clive henrick, and like many been working on TRPG games for over 40 years. Many years ago I worked on Cyberpunk, Mekton, and many of the very old school RPG of the day. Now I have a day job at Riot Games in LA, but a few years ago, I made a LLC called Siegebreaker Games to publish a few ideas that I had. The Two main Games I have published Is Gateways into Madness using the BRP system and Shattered Worlds using 5th Edition. (done)
[1:04 PM]Stancypants:Â Hey there! I’m John Stancil with Stands to Reason Games and I write content for 5e D&D. I have made a Matrix RPG and working on a few other projects at the moment, but here we’ll talk about Ironlocke, my setting for 5e D&D. It’s a steampunk setting, with a twist. The Great Realm of Ironlocke is a setting where Humans have dominated the world. Through policy, programs, and propaganda, humans have claimed that the future belongs to them, and that things like elves, dwarves, and gnomes are fairy tales. The reality is much different. Done!

[7:34 PM]Rey: RPGs are a passion for me, and so this book is both a labor of love, and a legacy for my friends and I.

[7:35 PM]Rey: I’m also a geek in general in all the usual ways – comics, sci-fi, fantasy, all of it – so we can discuss that too.

[1:03 PM]FaintingGoatWrangler: We are here today to talk about Last Fleet to Vega – https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/darrindrader/last-fleet-to-vega-a-5e-based-space-opera-game/
[1:03 PM]ddrader: I’m Darrin Drader. I used to work for WotC, and I’ve been a professional in the tabletop roleplaying game field now for a quarter century. I have recently picked up the title of small publisher, and I’ve run two successful Kickstarters. Hopefully the one we’re promoting today will be the third.
[1:03 PM]FaintingGoatWrangler: it’s a 5e space opera game
[1:04 PM]FaintingGoatWrangler: with a certain affection for a beloved property from the ,ate 1970s
[1:06 PM]Ray Legend: I’ve been publishing indie comics for about 11 years and started developing Legend around 2017. The connection is that my comic worlds actually inspired our three core worlds.
[1:08 PM]Ray Legend: Legend RPG is the result of a lifetime of RPG playing, 2 decades of Dad GMing, and about 5 years of asking questions
[1:08 PM]Ray Legend: Two major drivers inspired the game
[1:09 PM]Ray Legend: I felt like games could do a better job of capturing the feeling of movies or our favorite books, and I committed to figuring out how to make that happen.
[1:10 PM]Ray Legend: The second thing was that people in my life wanted to play, but they were turned off by long campaigns and complicated character creation.
[1:11 PM]Ray Legend: That pushed me to start developing and playtesting mechanics, and eventually led to a complete overhaul of hero creation.
[1:12 PM]Ray Legend: Now, I like to say, Legend RPG lets you become the hero you’ve always dreamed of—in the stories you love most.
