I’ve been working on TTRPGs for about 6 years now and am preparing to release my first full scale project on backerkit this month. What is Gilmoril? Gilmoril: Technogothic Nightmare is a table top role-playing game designed for 1-6 players, combining the monster hunting, mystery, and aesthetics of The Witcher, Bloodborne and Horizon Zero Dawn, with a few twists of its own. It is about being an expert hunter of robotic creatures that take on the forms of mythological monsters. Each has a set of behaviours and motivations which are used to define what kind of monster it is. This in turn is used to determine how you can ultimately destroy them. [7:31 PM]Kosala: My name is Kosala, or Kos for short, Founder and Creative/Tech lead on the WRKS Games IP development and game development operations.

[7:31 PM]Kosala: We have been around since 2017, working steadily on an original IP based game development excersise that spans TTRPGs, video games, comics, fiction etc

[7:32 PM]Kosala: Organically funded and boot strapped, we are around 8 full timers now and are in full swing as an operation. We have been remote freelancers for a long time to date, that has now changed and are moving to full time roles only in the global south.

I’ve been working in the comics industry professionally for 13 years, and began publishing tabletop games a few years ago. My first game was Hell, Inc. the RPG, an adaptation of my webcomic about demons working in the office that runs Hell. In 2023 I published BURGERPunk, created and written by my wife, Caitlin, and illustrated by me. My third game, and what we’ll be talking about today, is Big Robots, Big Feelings. (done)

[12:01 PM]P0rthos: Hi! I’m P0rthos, my wife and I make RPGs about space and raccoons and sometimes about raccoons in space. Our current game is Space Aces: Wreck Runners, a game about being insufferable social media influencers livestreaming your way through wrecked spaceships.

I’ve been working in the tabletop game industry for about 30 years or so, maybe a little more, starting with writing for and publishing zines, contributing to gaming magazines, then to larger works for an astonishing array of publishers.

[1:03 PM]Jason Durall | Chaosium Inc.: I seem to specialize in licensed properties, but have done some original IP development as well.

[1:04 PM]Jason Durall | Chaosium Inc.: I had a 17-year stint in the MMO industry but went fulltime as a tabletop game designer, though I continue to consult for MMOs and mobile games. Right now I devote most of my time to Chaosium and the BRP line of games, including our newest release, Age of Vikings.
