[20:09] <+PierceFraser> Hello folks! I’m Pierce, I’ve been around here a few times before, thanks for having me back again. I’m the creator of the HC SVNT DRACONES tabletop role playing game, the first edition of which released almost 5 years ago. It’s had a few expansions since, and is currently kickstarting its second edition, which is what I’m here to talk about.
[20:11] <+PierceFraser> HSD is a post-human scifi setting in near-space, dealing with a wide array of fun themes. Intrigue, astral horror, adventure, cybercrime, new evils, old evils, it’s a very sand-boxy setting that encourages you to pick the aspects you particularly enjoy and play them up.
[20:12] <+PierceFraser> You can find all the first edition books here if you’d like to give them a glance: (Link: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/7700/Weapons-Grade-Funk)https://www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/7700/Weapons-Grade-Funk and the kickstarter for 2.0 is here: (Link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1448273438/hc-svnt-dracones-20)https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1448273438/hc-svnt-dracones-20
[13:50] <+Svilland-Ekin> Hello everyone
[13:51] <+Svilland-Ekin> We are Dream Realm Storytellers, a newly established tabletop RPG studio who were working on various other projects in the past five years.
[13:53] <+Svilland-Ekin> We did mini conventions and various LARP events for the RPG community. Now, we decided to take our effort to the professional level and got into developing commercial tabletop RPG content. Although we had experience on realm and game developing, Svilland is the first time we are developing an RPG game for the sector.
[13:55] <+Svilland-Ekin> Svilland is an authentic Norse mythology setting that is compatible with Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. It is a fictional realm, but the deities are directly driven from the mythology and events are inspired by Norse history and culture. Although it is a DnD campaign setting, it is not as high fantasy as the regular DnD.
[13:56] <+Svilland-Ekin> We are trying to capture a much grimmer atmosphere to reflect the hardships of such a region
[13:57] <+Svilland-Ekin> Races are mostly human-based, so we do not have halflings and elves, but there are 6 races that are quite different from each other. There are three kingdoms and their nations, who are very close to the human race of DnD PHB, but there are also dvergrs (Norse dwarves), half-jotunns (half-giants) and the mysterious and wise Seidr (the name will change)
[13:59] <+Svilland-Ekin> One of the most important things we are working in the setting is how people perceive religion and deities. For DnD, the issue of alignment and deities is a straight-forward one. A god is good or evil or etc. On the other hand we have different cults who perceive a same god or goddess differently
[13:59] <+Svilland-Ekin> For example there is a cult who sees Balder as good, while there’s another one that worships him as evil
[19:33] <+jimpinto> hi. i’m jim. it’s on my screen name. right there. can’t miss it.
[19:33] <+jimpinto> i made a game called bloodwraith. it’s on kickstarter right now. with less than 3 days left.
[19:33] <+jimpinto> it’s an OSR clone, based on sword and wizardry, with some black hack thrown in. and all of the features i’ve always wanted to put into an OSR game.
[19:34] <+jimpinto> it’s split up into 3 books: setting, rules, and magic
[19:35] <+jimpinto> the setting is dark, without being grimdark… it focuses on humanity being hunting into extinction.
[19:35] <+jimpinto> and everyone is the enem
[19:35] <+jimpinto> enemy

[19:33] <+Vito5thEpoch> mostly here to talk about Metal, Magic and Lore and 5th Epoch in general, how the product line grew to 5 books and 25 PDFs supplements, where we have both succeeded and failed and what revisions we are working on for the immediate and far future.
[19:32] <+Peter> Hello, my name is Peter S. Williams and I work at Flatland Games with my buddy John. We have released three games: a small tile placement boardgame called Wizard’s Museum, Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures (for which I suspect we are here, largely), and a PbtA games called Action Movie World.
[19:32] <+JohnC> Hi all, my name is John Cocking.
[19:33] <+eezo> I apologise for sounding like I am 12 but I giggled
[19:33] <+JohnC> Beyond the Wall and Other Adventures is a game about kids growing up together and saving their village.
[19:33] <+Peter> and being friends
[19:34] <+JohnC> Beyond the Wall uses the chassis of D&D to provide a base for a collaborative character creation session that ensures everyone’s characters care about each other, and the place they live.
[19:35] <+Peter> some people call it OSR, some people dont. i like “OSR-ish” myself
[19:35] <+JohnC> (Eezo, you wouldn’t believe the embarrassed telemarketers who call.)
[19:33] <+clash_bowley> I am clash bowley, chief designer of Flying Mice Games.
[19:33] <+clash_bowley> I’m here to talk about StarCluster 4 games, specifically Wavefront Empire, but any of the many StarCluster 4 games are ok to talk about.
[19:36] <+TimDevine> Kristin and I are the designers of the North Sea Epilogues, a TTRPG based on the North Sea trilogy of games by Garphill Games
[19:37] <+TimDevine> It is a rules lite storytelling game that lets you step further into the North Sea, create your heroes and forge your own epic sagas
[19:39] <+TimDevine> Kristin and I formed Dice Up Games to put out our games. This is the first game we’ve partnered with a publisher for.
