[20:27] <+GregSaunders> Hi all, I’m Greg Saunders. I’m a UK based gamer who’s been playing RPGs since the mid eighties I guess, faves being WHFRP, Traveller, Jorune, Talislanta… I’ve been writing games on and off for the last few years, including a game called Summerland and one called In Flames.
[20:28] <+GregSaunders> My current kickstarter is called Exilium and is a ‘re-imagining’ of In Flames. It’s a scifi game of post-human loss and redemption, centered on post-humans effectively kicked out of heaven. Anyway, glad to be here on this Q&A so please fire away! (done)
[20:31] <+FraserRonald> I’m Fraser Ronald, a game designer.
[20:31] <+FraserRonald> I’ve designed the games Sword Noir, Kiss My Axe, Centurion, Nefertiti Overdrive, and Starship Commandos
[20:31] <+FraserRonald> My company is Sword’s Edge Publishing
[20:31] <+FraserRonald> Dan, are links okay?
[20:31] <~Dan> Absolutely!
[20:32] <+FraserRonald> I also write short fiction and have a few stories published in places like Black Gate, Fantastic Stories, and On Spec.
[20:32] <+FraserRonald> You can find SEP at (Link: http://swordsedgepublishing.ca/)http://swordsedgepublishing.ca/
[20:32] <+FraserRonald> Right now I’m Kickstarting an update to Sword’s Edge, the system that runs Sword Noir and Kiss My Axe.
[20:33] <+FraserRonald> Sword’s Edge is a generic RPG and both on the SEP website and on the Kickstarter, I’ve provided examples for its use with a bunch of genres
[20:33] <+FraserRonald> You can find the Kickstarter here (Link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1153118353/swords-edge-the-tabletop-role-playing-game)https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1153118353/swords-edge-the-tabletop-role-playing-game
[20:34] <+FraserRonald> You can find one of my stories for free online – “When She Was Five” in Fantastic Stories of the Imagination 234, (Link: http://www.fantasticstoriesoftheimagination.com/when-she-was-five/)http://www.fantasticstoriesoftheimagination.com/when-she-was-five/
[19:29] <+JohnGoff> My name is John Goff. I’ve been writing RPGs for just about 20 years on the nose now. I’m probably best known for my work on Pinnacle Entertainment’s Deadlands universe, but I’ve written for Steve Jackson, White Wolf, FASA (when they were a thing), Last Unicorn (likewise), and others.
[19:30] <+JohnGoff> I’m here tonight to talk about my latest project, the Fear Agent RPG, based on the Dark Horse comic by Rick Remender, Tony Moore, and Jerome Opena, but I’m also open to questions about anything else I’ve done!
[19:31] <+JohnGoff> Fear Agent is a pulp, sci-fi space opera set in a universe where Earth has been devastated by an interstellar war between three races and humanity is dragged kicking and screaming into a vast universe largely against their will.
[20:33] <+Slade> Alright. I’m Slade. Long-time TTRPG-er and designer, in the last few years of some micro games and some macro games. The first real success I had was with The Indie Hack, which is a story-game-y spin on The Black Hack.
[20:34] <+Slade> I spent most of highschool and much of college playing Whitewolf games and D&D. I got into Apocalypse World and stranger stuff in 2010.
[20:35] <+Slade> My current game is now kickstarting at (Link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/676237438/dust-fog-and-glowing-embers-an-rpg/)https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/676237438/dust-fog-and-glowing-embers-an-rpg/ It’s called “Dust, Fog, and Glowing Embers”
[20:35] <+Slade> It’s all about these societal outcasts finding shelter with a patron who asks them to do nefarious things for them.
[20:35] <+Slade> They are granted powers from alchemical essences that they inject into their blood.
[20:36] <+Slade> The setting takes a “willing suspension of disbelief” as its core. Every kind of non-science is real there: astrology, feng shui, leeches for medicine, etc.
[20:37] <+Slade> The setting is proto-industrial, so you have horses and muskets and such as the main technologies.
[19:31] <+ReidSanFilippo> Hello my fellow Umericans! I’m am the author of the Umerican Survival Guide, a post apocalyptic setting for the Dungeon Crawl Classics RPG.
[19:32] <+ReidSanFilippo> Right now it is on Kickstarter with 6 days to go. We are funded and well into reaching our 3rd Stretch goal.
[19:33] <+ReidSanFilippo> Feel free to ask anything!
[19:34] <+Chris_Haner> Hello! My name is Chris Haner and I am the creator, designer, author and pretty much everything for Wormhole Tabletop RPG. I have also been making youtube videos for over two years for my channel “Rogueliker.” I’m a dad, I work and try to get out to do some tabletop gaming at least once a week.
[19:35] <+Chris_Haner> I stay busy.
[19:35] <+Chris_Haner> Wormhole Tabletop RPG is what I’m here for tonight. Wormhole is a Sci-fi themed, trade and exploration focused tabletop game. During gameplay you form a crew and can transport goods through the 13 colonized systems in the milky way galaxy, take salvaging contracts, smuggle contraband or go pirate.
[19:32] <+JasonTondro> Hey everyone. I am Jason Tondro, aka Doctor Comics. I have written various RPGs over the years for Icons, M&M, d20 and other systems, some of which are now lost to time.
[19:32] <+Shingan> mysterious
[19:33] <+JasonTondro> I am also an English professor; I live in southeast Georgia where I teach writing, film, comics, and cultural studies. My PhD comes from the University of California, Riverside, and my degree was in the literature of the medieval & Renaissance era, and also superhero comics.
[19:33] <+JasonTondro> So I come by “Doctor Comics” fair and square.
[19:34] <+JasonTondro> I’ve also written various academic books and articles and chapters on superhero comics as literature, which I won’t bore you with, but they were super fun to write.
[19:34] <+JasonTondro> Today I am here for “Arthur Lives!”
[19:35] <+JasonTondro> AL! (As I affectionately refer to it after spending most of my life working on it) is an urban fantasy game using the Fate Core system, in which Arthurian characters are reincarnated into a cinematic, supernatural present.
